Disney Springs in Walt Disney World

Disney Springs (which was known as Downtown Disney up until September of 2015) is a shopping and entertainment area that’s free for anybody to enter. It’s divided up into 4 sections: West Side Entertainment, West Side Dining, West Side Shopping, and Marketplace. This is a food paradise and a perfect place for my picky eater as well 🙂

We decided to try Raglan Road Irish Pub for dinner. Brady and I shared the fish and chips, Christian tried the Char-grilled sirloin beef burger with bacon, tomato chutney and Dubliner cheddar. Daniel who isn’t that adventurous with his meals ate the chicken tenders with mashed potatoes. I didn’t want to eat a big meal since I wanted to save room for dessert 🙂 When you go, Make sure to ask for a table outside so you won’t miss their entertainment. The kids are invited to come on stage and join the dancers. Unfortunately, I forgot to record this 🙁

For dessert you have tons of options as well. Since we have a Sprinkles Cupcakes in Dallas, we opted to try Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shop. Boy, I’m glad we did. Here’s a tip, the lines are going to be long and there isn’t enough table to accommodate the many fans waiting to eat here. We had our boys wait at a table while Brady and I grabbed our sundaes. Another tip: share your sundaes. As you can see by the pictures below, THEY’RE HUGE!! We honestly couldn’t eat it all!

Once we were stuffed, we walked off those calories, LOL! Disney Spring has 108 shops to choose from. Since Daniel loves legos, we went inside the Lego’s store and he picked out a new Star Wars set. His favorite part was the dragon made out of Lego’s in the lagoon.

I have 2 traditions when we go on vacation. I always buy a refrigerator magnet from the places we’ve visited and I buy a Christmas ornament, if possible. There’s a store called Disney’s Days of Christmas that had my name written all over it! I think I spent an hour trying to decide which Mickey Mouse Ears ornament to get! I eventually picked the snowman one seen below. You could actually get your name or message written on there was well. Since we are staying at a Disney resort, one of the perks is having our purchases sent to our room without an extra charge. We obviously opted for this since I was terrified I was going to break it (the delivery can take up to 24 hours). Wow, what an amazing and adventurous 2nd day and we haven’t even made it to the theme parks yet!- Dot
