Game night with the family!

Friday nights for the Johnson family means “game night”. We usually let the boys pick out a board game and either stay home or go to our favorite coffee shop. The boys came up with their top 5 favorite board game.

1. Ticket to Ride: I love this game because its easy to understand and very similar to monopoly. Whomever travels to the most cities with the most points win. The Ticket To Ride Board Game is a cross-country train adventure that celebrates Fogg’s impetuous and lucrative gamble to travel “Around the World in 80 Days” by proposing a new wager. The stake is a $1 million prize in this winner-takes-all competition. The objective of this train board game is to see who can travel by rail to the most cities in North America in just seven days. This Ticket To Ride game can be played by two to five players. There are 225 colored train cars and players have to collect cards that allow them to use the different railway routes connecting the cities across the USA. This Ticket To Ride Board Game comes complete with a detailed board, game cards, help cards, rules, train miniatures and more..

2. Suspend family game:This award-winning ‘teetering, wobbling, shifting, tipping, unbalanced, balance game’ is a must-have for family game night! Take turns hanging the notched, rubber-tipped wire pieces from the tabletop stand. With each added piece, the balance shifts and the sculpture transforms. But watch out! One wrong move could send it all crashing down! Suited for 1-4 players, this game is guaranteed to appeal to kids and grownups alike! Not only is this fun to watch each opponent try to balance a game piece, but it helps younger players with their hand and eye coordination. As a kindergarten teacher, this is part of my classroom games.

3. Bang the Dice Game: This game can be played by up to 8 players. This is our favorite game to take to a party or when entertaining our guest. Welcome to the Old West! This game allows you to become part of the game be either being the Outlaw, Sheriff, Deputy, or Renegade. Unmask and defeat your enemies, keep up with the Indians and challenge your fate to bring your team to the victory! Fast and exciting game play – Based on the BANG! Game System. A very successful game line, with fans all over the world! You do not need BANG! to play. My favorite part of the game is it teaches kids to work together to win the game. Definitely a must with boys!

4.  Tenzi Dice Game: If you’re a competitive person like I am, Tenzi is your game. This dice games comes with different variations of the game, so it depends  which one you prefer. This simple, yet engaging game lets 2 to 4 players battle each other in a game of strategy and speed. An example is: each player gets 10 dice and you can identify what number the players must get. Whomever rolls all 10 dice that number, wins! Daniel and I play this game when we want to play something quick and easy. It’s recommended for ages 7 and up.

5.  Jenga Classic Game: This is another game that I have in my classroom. It’s great for hand and eye coordination, and balance.  Want a game experience that combines friends, skill, suspense, laughter, and maybe a little luck? You gotta get the Classic Jenga game! It’s the perfect game for everyone, with edge-of-your-seat, gravity-defying action. Do you dive right in and pull your block, or take your time and study the stack? Any way you choose, show your Jenga style! There’s an outdoor version of this game if you prefer playing it outside!
