Urban Taco-Mckinney Ave

This was my first time @ Urban Taco and I was impressed with the flavors of their taco’s and especially their roasted corn con Lime Crema. Just like any Mexican restaurant, you are served chips and salsa before your dinner. But, don’t get full on these, you have a great meal a head of you 😉
We ordered 2 tacos Chicken al Carbon  and 1 Arrachera Steak taco. The chicken al Carbon is a chicken taco with garlic mojo sauce, tomatillo serrano salsa verde, manchego cheese and pico de gallo. A perfect symphony of flavor and spices to make any mouth happy.

The Arrachera steak taco included 4 chile dry rubbed arrachera steak, cilantro, guajillo piquin salsa and queso fresco. Both tacos were tender, juicy and full of spice. The steak tasted like it was marinated for hours and the queso fresco helped cut down the heat from the chile rub. The taco’s don’t disappoint in flavor and taste. Even though the taco’s were amazing, my favorite part of the meal was the roasted corn con Lima Crema. If I knew how amazing this corn was, I would of ordered a bowl just for me!! The flavors from the grill came through in the corn and the Lime Crema brought out the sweetness in the corn. The waiter even said people come just for the corn alone.
Next time you’re in Uptown, come by, order their Ginger Jalapeno margarita, 3 tacos and don’t forget their roasted corn con Lime Crema.
Here’s a secret on getting a free churros for dessert. Post your picture on their Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, Urban Taco and show the waiter. You will thank me later for this “free” and delicious ending to a great meal.

The Churro’s were eaten before I could take a picture of them 🙂
